FEATURES OF THE DTF PRESTIGE A4 PRINTER

• Versatility: prints films in roll format up to 20 cm wide, as well as A4 sheets. It transfers the design onto the film and stores it as a screen printing transfer
• Optimized design: allows access to the interior of the printer, simplifying maintenance and repairs
• Compact: small and lightweight desktop printer, suitable for limited workspaces
• Easy to install, use, and maintain: equipped with all the features for DTF (Direct Transfer to Film) customization

• The OEM DigiRIP DTF Station licence included in this pack can only be installed and used on the purchased printer
• Does not include a sheet input tray. Sheet feeding is done manually or using the roll holder
• It is possible to customize rigid materials with DTF as long as they are suitable for heat transfers
• Before using the printer for the first time: remove the safety device that immobilizes the printhead

MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS

The following maintenance actions must be performed to ensure proper operation of your machine. You can consult the videos for more information.

INSTRUCTIONS AND PARAMETERS FOR APPLYING THE DTF TECHNIQUE

The following instructions are for guidance purposes only. They may vary depending on the condition of the equipment and materials used. It is recommended to perform preliminary tests before starting production.

STEP 1. FILM PREPARATION

• Check that the ambient temperature is 20-30 °C and the humidity is above 50%
• Print the design on the film in mirror mode. Include a white layer at the end
• Carefully remove the film from the printer tray, without touching the ink
• Preheat the transfer press to 165 °C ^(*)
  
• Sprinkle DTF powder onto the printed design on the film. Store the remaining powder in a container to prevent moisture
• Place the film on the base of the transfer press and lower the upper plate until it is 3-4 cm above the film, without touching it
• Cure the film for 2 minutes. Check that the powder has melted and formed a film

^(*) If you do not want to apply the design to the fabric immediately, you must cure the powder at a temperature of 190 °C for 8-10 minutes. This will allow the film to become a screen printing transfer that can be applied at a later time.

STEP 2. APPLYING THE DESIGN

• If the fabric is cotton, pre-press it at 165 °C. If it is polyester, pre-pressing is not necessary
• Place the film on the garment
• Press at 165 °C with medium-high pressure for 15 seconds if the fabric is cotton
• Press at 140 °C with medium-high pressure for 50 seconds if the fabric is polyester or a polyester-cotton blend
• Remove the garment from the transfer press and let it cool down
• Peel off the film slowly but continuously
