Clam Heat Presses
Models with clam-type heat press in different sizes
We present to you all the types of heat presses for thermal transfers and sublimation ovens available at Brildor.
The transfer presses or heat presses are essential machines for customization using techniques such as sublimation, transfer printing, textile vinyl, and many more. These machines allow the application of heat and pressure for a set time during the customization process.
Unlike transfer presses, sublimation ovens also provide heat and pressure but with hot air and/or vacuum pressure. Thanks to this feature, transfers can be made on non-flat items like mobile phone cases, plates, vases... and fully customise bottles, flasks, glasses, mugs...
To correctly choose the machinery that best suits your needs, you should ask yourself these questions:
·What type of items do I want to customise? If they are flat products, you should choose a transfer press, but if they are non-flat items, you should opt for a sublimation oven. Keep in mind that there are also special heat presses for customising mugs, caps, balls, shin guards… or combo presses that allow you to mark objects with different characteristics.
·What size are the products I want to customise? The dimensions of the item will determine the print area and, therefore, the size of the press plate or the type of oven. Most presses are available in different sizes, but if you are unsure which to choose, we recommend larger heat plates. This way, you can customise larger products or personalise several at once, optimising work time.
·What is my budget? Investing in a transfer press is a good option as, as mentioned before, it can be used in various customisation techniques. We recommend that if you seek maximum productivity and convenience, choose a press with automatic opening and closing and a control panel with a digital display.
·Sandwich presses: This type of press, with a design similar to a sandwich maker, is the most common as it includes the most economical models. These machines take up little space and are easy to use and maintain. Some models feature automatic opening systems that allow for greater precision and productivity. The time and temperature controls are digital in most models and analogue in the more economical ones.
·Swing-away presses: They open vertically and allow you to move the heat plate to the side. This system provides more comfort and safety as it completely clears the base plate when removing and placing products. Additionally, some models incorporate automatic opening systems that increase precision and productivity. When acquiring this type of heat press, consider the workspace as it requires more space than a sandwich type.
·Vertical presses: These are heat presses that, like swing-away presses, incorporate a vertical opening system, but in this case, the base plate slides out like a drawer. This section includes most pneumatic presses, which are very useful for high production volumes. Additionally, their plate dimensions are larger, allowing you to customise larger products. Note that one of our available models has 2 base plates, which doubles productivity.
·Mug presses: These are specifically designed for customising the surface of mugs, jars, bottles, glasses… using techniques like sublimation, vinyl, or transfer. Most of them take up very little space and have various size resistances available to customise both cylindrical and conical objects of various diameters and heights.
·Cap presses: Similar to sandwich types, the main feature of cap presses is that they have curved plates that adapt to the shape of caps and hats. Additionally, taking advantage of their low consumption and quick heating, you can make small prints on textiles or other flexible materials that fit the shape of the plates.
·Special presses: We refer to special presses as thermal presses with unique sizes and shapes for specific uses such as customising balls, shin guards, skateboards…
·Combo presses: These are a versatile solution that is very interesting for starting a customisation business, especially if it's through sublimation. They offer packs with different resistances to customise with a single press items of various shapes: flat, curved, cylindrical, and even shoes. Therefore, with a reduced investment, these combo presses allow you to print on all types of sublimable products.
·Large format presses: In this section, you will find presses whose plates measure more than 1 metre. They are very useful for customising large dimension products such as flags, towels, photographic panels, large-sized t-shirts… Additionally, they are a very interesting option for companies with high productions, as many items can be customised at the same time, thus reducing production times.
·Sublimation ovens: You will need an oven if you want to customise through sublimation all types of rigid items regardless of their shape such as mobile phone cases, plates, vases, irregular photo frames. Ovens also allow you to create complete customisations on bottles, flasks, or glasses. At Brildor, we offer various models of ovens for small and medium-sized objects up to large ovens with high capacity.
