Vertical presses feature a vertical opening system for the heat plate and a drawer-like base plate movement system. This section includes most pneumatic presses, which are very useful for high production volumes. Additionally, the dimensions of their plates are larger, allowing you to customise bigger products. It is worth noting that one of our available models has 2 base plates, which doubles productivity.
If you are unsure which transfer press best suits your work style and production level, here are the key features to consider when choosing your press:
1. What size are the products you will be customising?
The dimensions of the item will determine the print area and, therefore, the size of the press plate. There are many sizes, from small plates of 12x12 cm to plates of 100x80 cm. In some cases, you can find different dimensions within the same press model.
If it's your first press, we recommend opting for slightly larger plate sizes than necessary. This way, you can customise larger products or print several at once, optimising your work time.
2. Pneumatic or electric opening system?
In this category, you will see that all presses feature automatic opening and closing mechanisms, but which one to choose? Pneumatic or electric press?
- Pneumatic: These are the most sophisticated and productive version. The closing and opening system is powered by air through one or more pistons, requiring a compressor. Thanks to this mechanism, the pressure adjustment is regulated by a manometer.
- Electric: The closing and opening system is operated by a motor, and the pressure applied by the heat plate is adjustable from the control panel. In this case, a compressor is not needed.
Pneumatic | Electric |
---|---|
Operates with a compressor | No compressor needed |
Automatic opening and closing | Automatic opening and closing |
