DESCRIPTION

  • They fit perfectly on surfaces without producing curves, wrinkles, or stretches
  • Applicable transfer tape on wet surfaces
  • They maintain their application properties even after a long storage period
  • Made in Germany by Poli-Tape

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

  • Carriers with low-adhesive acrylic differ because PT 160 G is ruled with squares and PT 165 is also ruled with squares and has a liner
  • They are supplied in rolls with a cardboard mandrel (inner tube) of Ø7.5 cm, except for Ref. 040977 with a Ø3.8 cm mandrel

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CARRIER?

To quickly identify the carrier that suits you best, we explain all the factors that influence that decision:

1st Adhesion level: it will depend on the surface on which the vinyl is to be applied. On smooth non-porous surfaces, such as glass, the adhesion of the vinyl is very high and allows us to use a high-adhesion carrier. On rough and porous surfaces, such as a wall, use a low-adhesion carrier to avoid tearing the vinyl
2nd Vinyl texture: it is decisive in choosing the degree of adhesion. Rough or matte vinyl complicates the adhesion of the carrier and requires it to have more adhesive strength
3rd Transparency: facilitates the positioning of the vinyl on the surface to which it will be applied. Available in transparent film and translucent paper. Some film carriers are offered with a square grid for the same practical reason
4th Ecological reasons: used paper carrier is a more easily manageable waste than film. On the other hand, film is usually easier to recycle

If after these considerations you are still unsure, we recommend starting with PT 160 or PT 133.

Consult the following comparison table for their performance to select the one that suits you best:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The following are general guidelines that may vary slightly depending on the carrier you select, especially if you do wet applications or choose a type with a liner.

  • Unroll the carrier sheet over the already cut and discarded vinyl and make it adhere to it with the help of a spatula to avoid bubbles
  • If the carrier has a liner (PT 165), you will have to gradually remove it while applying it to the vinyl. In small jobs, remove all the liner before applying it
  • Slowly separate the carrier so that the vinyl separates from the liner
  • Place the carrier with the vinyl on the surface to which it will adhere
  • Press with a spatula to eliminate bubbles
  • Carefully peel off the carrier, making sure the vinyl remains properly fixed

In many cases, the carrier can be reused, which is at the discretion of the user, depending mainly on the adhesion and condition of the material.
