RECOMMENDED INSTRUCTIONS AND PARAMETERS FOR SUBLIMATION PRINTING
Parameters are given for guidance only. It is recommended to carry out preliminary tests in order to make the necessary adjustments before starting production.
Print the design in mirror mode with your sublimation printer. You will use 4 prints, 2 for each sock, 1 on each side
Preheat the press to 185 °C
Insert the lasts in each sock
Place protective paper in the lower platen of the press
Place the printed design on each sock. Fix the paper to the sock with heat tape to prevent them from moving
Place the socks on the lower platen on the press and cover with protective paper
Iron at medium pressure for 50 seconds
With the help of a protective glove, remove the prints on one side of the socks
Carefully remove the heatsealing tape and the paper leaving the lasts inside the sock
Push the edges of the sock that have not been printed to the inside of the side that remains to be sublimated. This will try to hide the edges with the second ironing
Place the printed design over each sock and fix it to the sock by placing heat tape on the sides of the sock
Place the socks socks back on the lower platen back in the press and cover them with protective paper
Iron at medium pressure at 185 °C for 50 seconds
With the help of a protective glove, remove the socks completely printed parts
Carefully remove the heatsealing tape and the paper. Remove the lasts from the socks
