More information about the heart-shaped photo rock slate for sublimation

  • Perfect for modern and rustic decor, as well as a gift for Valentine's or Mother's Day, a wedding, an anniversary or a birthday.
  • Bevelled edges that show the uneven cuts of the stone, simulating the marks of a chisel.
  • Both models include 2 black plastic stands to place the photo slate on flat surfaces.
  • The Ref. 036114 photo slate has 2 holes at the top to insert the jute cord that comes with it. It can be hung on the wall or placed on a table.
  • White printable side delimited by an irergular border. Back in black.
  • Can be personalised with a heat press or vacuum membrane sublimation oven.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

  • It may have some slight irregularities on its surface due to the natural morphology of the rock from which it is extracted.
  • It is recommended to use a Nomex pad when sublimating with a heat press machine.

Recommended instructions and parameters for sublimation printing

WITH A HEAT PRESS

  • Prepare your design and print it in mirror image.
  • Preheat the press to 200ºC
  • Place the Nomex pad on the press’ lower platen and protective paper over it to prevent smudging.
  • Place the printed design face up on the Nomex pad and the photo slate face down in direct contact with the printed paper.
  • Fix them with heat-resistant tape.
  • Press for 9 minutes, medium-heavy pressure.
  • Remove the newly printed photo slate using a protective glove.
  • Carefully remove the paper.

WITH A 3D OVEN

  • Print the design in mirror image.
  • Preheat the oven to 200ºC
  • Place the printed design face down on the white side of the photo slate and fix it with heat-resistant tape.
  • Put the photo slate on the top tray of the oven with the printed side facing upwards.
  • Close the membrane and create a vacuum. Make sure to get rid of any air bubbles.
  • Close the oven for 7-8 minutes
  • Remove the newly printed photo slate using a protective glove.
  • Carefully remove the paper.
