Recommended instructions and parameters for sublimation printing
Parameters are given as a guide only. They may vary due to many factors, such as the type of sublimation paper, ink or ambient temperature. Therefore, testing is recommended.
WITH A MUG HEAT PRESS
Print the design in mirror image
Preheat the press to 200º C
Remove the lid from the tumbler
Hold the paper's printed side against the tumbler and fix it with heat-resistant tape
Press for 180 seconds, medium-heavy pressure
Remove the newly printed tumbler using a protective glove
Carefully peel off the paper
WITH A SUBLIMATION OVEN
Print the design in mirror image
Preheat the oven to 200º C
Remove the lid from the tumbler
Cover the base of the tumbler with heat-resistant tape
Hold the paper's printed side against the jar and fix it with heat-resistant tape
Adjust the wrap around it or slide the tumbler in a heat shrink bag and shrink with a heat gun. You can also use a silicone sheet
Sublimate inside the oven for 5 minutes
Using a protective glove, remove the wrap, the silicone sheet, or the bag, depending on the accessory you used
