Flock Heat Transfer Film - Transflock from Sef Laval
Heat transfer film for the application of flock texture on textiles. Particularly suitable for screen printing, but can also be used in combination with a hot-melt adhesive film, transfer paper and more.
TRANSFLOCK is a heat transfer film for monochrome transfers with a velvety finish.
Transfers the design without leaving unwanted flock fibres on the fabric
Possibility to speed up production using a screen printing machine
Velvety soft touch, similar to peach texture
The liner is a paper film (black and white) or polyester film (all other colours) that acts as a carrier
Made in France by Sef Laval
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
A heat press and sometimes a cutting plotter are required for general use
As this is a surface finish, we recommend carrying out washing and resistance tests
Time and temperature parameters may vary depending on the fabric
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCREEN PRINTING
You can use the plastisol flock adhesive to transfer foil onto any textile garment with the screen printing technique. Two-component base. It is necessary to mix it with a catalyst to apply it (Ref. 048950).
Here is how to use it:
Spray temporary adhesive on the table of your screen printing machine and place the T-shirt
Put the amount of adhesive you need in a bottle and add between 1% and 3% of catalyst. Mix well
Spread the mixture on the screen and apply using a squeegee
Slowly lift the screen and dry the adhesive with the help of a flash dryer or heat gun
Repeat these steps if you think it needs more adhesive and re-dry the adhesive
Remove the T-shirt from the machine and place it on the press
Cut out a piece of flock film and place it on the garment with the flocked side over the adhesive
Cover with protective paper
Press at 185 ºC for 50 seconds
Cold peel the foil
APPLICATION INSTRUCTION FOR POLI-MELT HOT-MELT FILMS
Double-sided hot melt adhesive films. Available for bonding flock on cotton, polyester and their blends (Turbo 4900) and nylon fabrics (Nylon 701).
TURBO 4900
Cut the film with the design in mirror mode or to the size of the patch to adhere
Peel off the heat-adhesive film, discarding the transparent part that does not cover the design. This way, only the clear layer with the shape of the design will remain on the liner
Pre-press the garment for 3-4 seconds to remove wrinkles and dampness
Place the film on the garment where you want to apply the adhesive and cover it with protective paper
Press at 130ºC (5 seconds), 150ºC (4 seconds) or 160ºC (3 seconds), medium pressure
Hot peel the protective paper and liner
Place the flock film with the velvety coloured side down on the hot-melt film applied to the garment
Press at 130ºC (5 seconds), 150ºC (4 seconds) or 160ºC (3 seconds), medium pressure
If you have used foil or flock, cold peel it with a smooth and continuous movement
NYLON 701
Preheat the press to 145-155ºC
Cut the film with the design in mirror mode or to the size of the patch to adhere
Peel off the heat-adhesive film, discarding the transparent part that does not cover the design. This way, only the clear layer with the shape of the design will remain on the liner
Pre-press the garment for 3-4 seconds to remove wrinkles and dampness
Place the film on the garment where you want to apply the adhesive and cover it with protective paper
Press for 15-18 seconds, medium pressure
Hot peel the protective paper and liner
Place the flock film with the velvety coloured side down on the hot-melt film applied to the garment
Press at 145-155ºC for 15-18 seconds, medium pressure
If you have used foil or flock, cold peel it with a smooth and continuous movement
